Delavo 2.0: Original Post Deleted
Tuesday
Jan 12, 2010
I had written a Review/ opinion article on how the new business model for Delavo, Delavo 2.0 from the team of John Delavera and Mark Joyner here, but I had to delete it after receiving a letter from John Delavera’s lawyers threatening to sue me if I didn’t delete the article. To say that I touched a nerve on this very small and marginally significant website is an understatement. What it did for me is solidify my opinion of the business practices of the “Internet Company” and while I do not believe they could have or would have really taken legal action against me (because of the whole free speech/ editorial thing), I do believe that they do not like when anything negative is said about their business as a whole. That is why I stand firm on why I do not recommend, based on my personal opinion, purchasing anything from the Internet Company or any of the “Turbo” businesses to include the Turbo Membership.
It is my opinion (free speech opinion here) that most of the products there are overpriced and not worth buying when compared to other available alternatives. For example, yesterday a new deal was put out for Members to purchase a few of the Internet Company’s old products. These products are very old and very outdated. Anyone in the Private Label Rights and Master Resale Rights market knows that these products are not worth much due to how outdated they are when compared to products available on the current market; especially when there are better alternatives available for $197 per month (on the high end) or less for comparable products with PLR and MRR. Here is the deal I am talking about: Turbo Steal Deal. You will see that the “deal” is for $997.
This kind of price tag is very common and I could show you tons of special “deals” with similar price tags that are put out to Turbo and Delavo members on a regular basis (in my opinion). These deals, in my opinion, are not to the level of quality that I Would normally recommend to the visitors of this Blog. SureFireWealth is one great example of a membership service which provides software and PLR items like these for a standard monthly membership, well below the cost of these products. Mike Filsaime has been selling his huge packages of products and software for years with PLR and MRR for a fraction of the prices that you will see here. That is why I do not recommend buying anything from this company or getting caught up in the “Marketing” hype associated with the “New” business models being proposed with Delavo 2.
Here is the Forum Announcement about Delavo 2 I referred to in my previous post before I was forced to delete it: Major Official Announcement
And then there is this New Delavo 2 Update which officially tells all of the people who have busines models that rely on hosted accounts with Delavo, it’s over: Delavo 2 Update
This article is strictly my opinion and in no way am I associated with any organization or entity in direct competition, nor am I in direct competition with the Internet Company or any of their Businesses.

Very good post. Agreed that their recent change is somewhat notorious. John changed his practice anytime he wants… I am done with his products forever.

Considering he is selling everything off and retiring righ now, this post
was a portend of things to come. I saw it last year when he was preparing
to change Delavo and hand it off to Mark Joyner. Now all Turbo Members have
been left to waste on what they had built their business' on.

I was going to start out with “you have no idea how pissed off I am with John”, but you probably do. So glad you made this post.
I first vented my frustrations on the Delavo forum (all legitimate concerns with no personal attacks) along with a serious technical problem about Delavo 2.0 affiliates and the post got deleted. Eventually I asked a mod why it was deleted who told me “John doesn't want any negativity on the forum”. Talk about a false utopian world!
You buy a piece of software believing you have pure ownership for life when suddenly a year later you get told you have to fork out a further $197 a month, which is almost the original one-time cost of the software? F***en ridiculous. I go back to Fantasos days and John screwed over his customers.
I don't care about the one year free silver membership. It should be LIFETIME because I paid for the damn software. Being a core part of my entire business drives the frustration to greater levels.
I would have recommended Delavo prior to this new pricing plan, but now it's ridiculous.
SEO this post for Delavo so innocent people thinking of getting the software can be saved by seeing the dark side John (and Mark) is attempting to cover up.

I agree with you 100%. With John Delavera and his product line, you have always received inferior products that cost way to much when compared to comparable product lines. The Turbo Membership is a great example of this. He hung all of his dedicated Turbo Members out to dry. One of his biggest supporters, Donna Walsh, argued with me extensively saying the Turbo Membership was the best business model ever and she had built her business on this model and it would never go away. I argued that putting all of your eggs in John Delavera's basket was a bad idea because he is all about him and money, not what people thought.
I posted this warning about Delavo 2.0 last May and it didn't even take a year for my predictions about what they were doing with it to come true. The big “Farewell” tour by John was nothing but a sell off and he is still mailing his list more junk. I know, I am still on the list.
What John and Mark did to Delavo owners who built their businesses around a promise that turned into a lie should all turn their backs on him instead of contining to fill his bank account.

I saw that post where Donna defended John. I'm not going to tell Donna like any business owner what's best for herself or himself. However, Donna has always defended the Turbo company like it was her son. It just about is having discovered her business and wealth depends on the success of Delavo. Any slight remark that can jeopardize this causes conflict. I reported one bug about the templates and she told me that's how it's meant to run, deleted my post, and left me in the dark frustrated. The next update, the bug pointed out was fixed.
What I do know is this issue is not complex. Donna or anyone can defend and praise John and Delavo all they like. IT DOESN'T MATTER. It's simple: customers purchased a piece of software for a one-time fee and got screwed a year later being told they have to pay a hefty monthly fee.

It is a shame. I really wish I had an alternative for all of the Delavo
users who got tricked into this mess, but I don't. All I can say is that I
can't recommend any software or service in which you depend on a Marketer to
be there for you for an unlimited amount of time. Unfortunately they always
seem to go on to something to make them even more money. They are not a
business, but Venture Marketers who buy, sell, and resell for their living.

The latest update on DELAVO is that John is selling $47 for his so-called $497 jet-up priced of Gold-DELAVO package. I suspect the move is to satisfy Mark Joyner's investment into his DELAVO family. Hey, who would have invested $497 on DELAVO for a package that works half-axx… hence John needed to sell $47 a month for a 100 members to get Mark a bit happier for the money spent

The fact that you have to pay a monthly membershipo fee to run your business
shoudl tun everyone off from this product, especially not knowing when they
are going to pull the plug on it. Paying for hosting and autoresponders is
one thing, but this is a lot to put into one basket.
