SocialBot Review: Auto Social Bookmarking at a Great Price!

I was asked recently what I thought about SocialBot and a few other programs from IncanSoft. I had never used the programs, but the one program I have had a lot of Review requests for was SocialBot, their Auto Social Bookmarking Tool. That being said, I thought I would give it a try.
When I first got to the website I was not impressed with the copy and the low price of $24.95 made me skeptical right away. I didn’t think that anything priced at $24.95 was going to be worth my time. I am a big fan of Bookmarking Demon as many of you already know and I didn’t think that this program was going to be worth my time.
I was wrong.
After downloading the program I installed it to find that it has a very nice licensing and registration system. I then read through the very complete and thorough PDF Manual that comes with it (which I highly recommend) to find that this little software program isn’t little after all and it is quite powerful.
On the site they claim to submit to 88 sites which are your main Social Bookmarking sites like Digg, Newsvine, Mixx and the like. The reality is that they submit to the biggies, but then leave open the option for you to add in an unlimited number of Scuttle and Scuttle Plus Social Bookmarking sites. Something I like very much.
The thing I was looking for more than anything was whether this program would automatically setup your login and password for the Social Bookmarking sites it submits to. The answer is yes and no. It will auto create most of the accounts for you, but you have to complete the signup processes. It fills in the forms for you and makes a rather quick process. Not perfect, but for $24.95 it is more than good enough. You can create an unlimited number of Profiles, so you can easily have any number of different accounts and Bookmarking niches setup with this program
Then I was looking for the ability to Spider my sites so it could Bookmark all of my different site’s pages and the answer here was a big Yes! SocialBot has a Spider that will collect every page on any site you want and then you can decide what pages it submits to or you can just set it on auto and selct the percentage of pages you want Bookmarked for that particular site. A great feature.
SocialBot aslo has the ability to accept Spinner Articles. This helps when submitting descriptions and titles to tons of different Social Bookmarking sites. Now with this tool all of your titles and descriptions can be different without much effort on your part.
Is this program quite as powerful as Bookmarking Demon? No. But is it a more than viable alternative when you are looking for an economical solution that will work. Hell Yes! This program will blow you away with the features and these guys provide fantastic support.

What is your opinion on all of these bookmarks coming from the same IP address…or do they? And if so how would you get around that if it is a problem.

That is a great question. If you constantly bookmark your sites with thousands of pages through the same account or even multiple accounts you can be banned by the Bookmarking site itself. If you create tons of different Profiles, yet use just one IP address, you will probably be banned as well. That is why you should always use a Proxy Tool on your computer which changes your IP constantly. This is even if you are doing things 100% on the up and up with zero intentions of SPAMing. This will keep your Bookmarks safe. It is a balancing act. I use a Proxy Switcher on both of my computers and I have it running when I am using SENuke, LFE, and other tools. A lot of these software tools have the ability to use multiple IP's, but I like to use an IP Proxy Switcher that is indepenantly operated that way I know my sites won't get banned. This is also why it is so important to have multiple profiles scattered across the Social Bookmarking sites. You should never put all of your eggs in one basket.

Hi Mike, does this support proxies within the software itself? Or is it more browser based, allowing you add a proxy?

No, you should use a separate proxy server. If you use it right, this
shouldn't be an issue. Spacing your Bookmarks over time with one IP is OK.
I do it all the time because my Proxy Switcher software slows down my
internet connection (and I'm lazy).
It is a good program. Once you use it I'm sure you'll be more than
satisfied.

Hey mike, does this program actually work? And if so how well..? I'm wondering if it is only used for backlinks or other purposes. And finally to add on to that is it a program you would recommend for a beginner? I own 4 websites now and my first website is at 25 backlinks
would this increase that by a lot? Email me please, dunno if i'll re-view this page. Thanks!!

products are very good backlink builders. I personally use Social
Bookmarking to get my sites indexed and then it helps to maintain their
ranking. Only a few Social Bookmarking sites like Digg actually give you
backlinks. It is better to build backlinks with products like SENuke, but
if you are looking for a more low cost choice, you should use products like
BlogBot, ArticleBot, DirectoryBot, RSSBot, and PressBot. I recommend them
all as low cost solutions to way more expensive software and you can
exchange profiles between them to make it all work so much easier.
