Forum 2 Blog Review: Import vBulletin Forum Posts into Wordpress Blogs

I have been looking for an Autoblog plugin for Wordpress that will automatically post Forum posts to Wordpress with the associated comments included. What I found was a great and very low priced tool ($14.95) which almost fits the bill: Forum 2 Blog.
When I say almost, the reason is Forum to Blog is not quite a Plugin and it does not post to your blog automatically. Forum 2 Blog is a script which runs alongside Wordpress. It is very simple in all aspects to load and use. The interface is a simple one Page Form in which you input your information, choose your Wordpress category, select a few other options, and when you enter your Password and hit submit, it automatically posts the Forum Post to your Blog.
Forum2Blog only uses Forum posts from a vBulletin run Forum. Most all top tier forums are ran with vBulletin, so this is not a big issue. The Digital Point Forums and Warrior Forum are two great examples of vBulletin script operated forums.
What you do is search for whatever topic you want to use, you go to the thread you would like to Post, you then copy and paste the URL into Forum 2 Blog. You then create any Title for the post you want, select the category as I said before, and then post it. Forum2Blog then pulls the post from the Forum and you get the original Forum post as your Blog post and you get the first page of Comments from the Forum as Comments on your Blog.
The problem I had with this was that I did not want my Posts to publish immediately (which they do), so now I have the creator of Forum 2 Blog building me a version which posts to Draft only. The other thing that would be nice is if you could select more than one category. I actually like that it isn’t a plugin. That way it is easy for me to hide it in my installation from Google’s prying eyes.
You might wonder if this is effective or not. So far, I have used a technique in which I use old Forum Posts from a few years ago. I change my post to draft immediately and I use the GDTools Plugin which allows me to keep from posting to my RSS Feed for 30 minutes after I post a Forum post so I can make whatever changes I want to it. In my Wordpress settings, I do not allow Comments to be postted without my approval, so this means I can edit or delete any of the Comments I want to.
This has worked terrifically. Obviously I would like a Plugin with more automation and I am thinking about outsourcing and paying someone to build one for me. A plugin which auto searches for keyword specific posts and then auto posts would be great. If anyone knows of a Plugin like this already, let me know. I have 3 Blogs that I am using this on right now and I have been using it for about a month. All 3 blogs are listed in the top 3 listings for their main keywords (I use SENuke and LinkFarmEvolution remember) and I am getting a ton of Free traffic. I think the best site is getting around 120 visits per day on average. Not bad for one or two keyword phrases in one month and hardly any work.
**I will be posting a video to show Forum2Blog in action, I just haven’t gotten around to it yet.

JetConvo Review: Build Forum Threads on Autopilot
Wednesday
Nov 26, 2008
If you have a forum or have been thinking of starting one and cannot seem to get it launched or cannot seem to get the search engines to notice, then JetConvo is your answer.
Just over a week ago I stumbled across this up and coming service and decided to give it a test shot. JetConvo is an extension of the Jet Spinner and Jet Submitter article spinning and article submission services. After visiting the parent website, I saw JetConvo and said to myself “What the heck is that?”
The answer is that JetConvo will create threads and automatically add answers to questions to keep the thread going over a predetermined schedule that you set. Yes, basically and Auto Forum Poster. The first question I asked was: How do they make these threads make sense and how do they match up with my forum topics?
They use pre-existing topic threads from Yahoo Answers which has millions of question and answer sessions that can work easily for any forum. I bit on this and decided to give it a whirl as you can actually create a Free Account to test the system.
I have a forum which has been basically sitting there waiting for me to add content to it or delete it. It routinely gets spammed since I don’t bother with it, so I figured it would be the perfect test bed. No harm, no foul. After just 3 days, my forum traffic quadrupled. I was expecting the Google slap right away since it is duplicate content, but so far all is good and my natural traffic, new natural threads, and member count has also quadrupled. So kudos to the creators of JetConvo for creating a solid product, which is still not completed fully by their count. The JetConvo blogs says they are still adding more and more functionality to this product and I am really stoked about it.
The service supports multiple forum platforms like vBulletin, phpBB, Simple Machines, and others. Did I also mention that you can create your own Signatures with links to whatever sites you want? The website lists the full version features as:
- Automatically populate an UNLIMITED number of forum categories on autopilot! Yes this means you can have different keyword specific posts for each sub-forum on your forum
- Have posts appear daily on a time delay so any visitor sees nothing more then an active forum that gets new posts daily by its members.
- Logical, Related, Interesting content Auto posted daily
- Complete control over post signatures
- 5000 threads & answers per day
- Unlimited sub-forum, keywords, and more
- Automatic creation of all new user accounts for posting!
- Unlimited sub-forum, keywords, and more
- Automatic creation of all new user accounts for posting!
Not a bad deal huh? For more information on JetConvo, visit the link here now.
