I constantly get emailed, requesting information on what Social Bookmarking Software tools for Auto Social Bookmarking are the best.  This is being written so I don’t have to write anymore emails about it.  I have 3 Social Bookmarking tools that I believe are the best tools on the market and the only ones I will use.  The thing is, they all have different capabilities and are not all inclusive.  You will have to decide which one fits your requirements the best, but I will draw comparisons and differences to help you along the way.

Update:  I wrote this post on February 18,2008.  Quite a few things have changed on the web since then, so here is my updated assessment of the 3 Top Rated Auto Social Bookmarking tools on the market.

Here are my Top 3 Auto Social Bookmarking Software Tools:

1. Bookmarking Demon 5.  Bookmarking Demon has continued to evolve and grow.  Now with Version 5 the list of features is long and all inclusive.  The number #1 reason why Bookmarking Demon is Number #1 is because it litterally does everything you want a Social Bookmarking Software to do.  It will Create an unlimited number of Accounts with the Top Social Bookmarking sites and you can create an unlimited number of Profiles which allows you to submit the same site to different accounts over and over.  It will Spider your site and then you can pick and choose what Pages to Submit as opposed to typing in each and every URL, Title, and Description.  Then it will submit to all the top services, but you can also Spider and add an unlimited number of Scuttle and Scuttle Plus Social Bookmarking sites to the services you submit to.  The best reason of all to buy this product is because it is now on Version 5 and continues to be the single best supported program of it’s kind on the web.  A very all inclusive program, Bookmarking Demon is my #1 choice for Automated Social Bookmarking.  Enough Said.
2. SocialBot.  SocialBot has a lot of the same features as Bookmarking Demon, but it is simpler and does not have the auto account creation feature quite as automated as Bookmarking Demon does.  It submits to 88 top tier Social Bookmarking and Scuttle Plus sites and also allows you to add as many Scuttle Sites to it as you want.  It has fantastic support, but it’s biggest selling point is that it is only $24.95.
3. Social Marker.  There is nothing special about Social Marker.  It is an online tool which will submit any site you want to 48 of the most popular Social Bookmarking sites.  The best thing about it is it is Free.  It doesn’t have any advanced features, but every now and then a Free Submission on someone else’s account doesn’t hurt.

I was asked recently what I thought about SocialBot and a few other programs from IncanSoft.  I had never used the programs, but the one program I have had a lot of Review requests for was SocialBot, their Auto Social Bookmarking Tool.  That being said, I thought I would give it a try.

When I first got to the website I was not impressed with the copy and the low price of $24.95 made me skeptical right away.  I didn’t think that anything priced at $24.95 was going to be worth my time.  I am a big fan of Bookmarking Demon as many of you already know and I didn’t think that this program was going to be worth my time.

I was wrong.

After downloading the program I installed it to find that it has a very nice licensing and registration system.  I then read through the very complete and thorough PDF Manual that comes with it (which I highly recommend) to find that this little software program isn’t little after all and it is quite powerful.

On the site they claim to submit to 88 sites which are your main Social Bookmarking sites like Digg, Newsvine, Mixx and the like.  The reality is that they submit to the biggies, but then leave open the option for you to add in an unlimited number of Scuttle and Scuttle Plus Social Bookmarking sites.  Something I like very much.

The thing I was looking for more than anything was whether this program would automatically setup your login and password for the Social Bookmarking sites it submits to.  The answer is yes and no.  It will auto create most of the accounts for you, but you have to complete the signup processes.  It fills in the forms for you and makes a rather quick process.  Not perfect, but for $24.95 it is more than good enough.  You can create an unlimited number of Profiles, so you can easily have any number of different accounts and Bookmarking niches setup with this program

Then I was looking for the ability to Spider my sites so it could Bookmark all of my different site’s pages and the answer here was a big Yes!  SocialBot has a Spider that will collect every page on any site you want and then you can decide what pages it submits to or you can just set it on auto and selct the percentage of pages you want Bookmarked for that particular site.  A great feature.

SocialBot aslo has the ability to accept Spinner Articles.  This helps when submitting descriptions and titles to tons of different Social Bookmarking sites.  Now with this tool all of your titles and descriptions can be different without much effort on your part.

Is this program quite as powerful as Bookmarking Demon? No.  But is it a more than viable alternative when you are looking for an economical solution that will work.  Hell Yes!  This program will blow you away with the features and these guys provide fantastic support.

After completing my 15th Scuttle Plus website, I began to realize that the Web 2.0 phenomenon is still kicking.  if you are wondering what Scuttle is, it is an Open Source Social Bookmarking website script which allows anyone to create their own Social Bookmarking website like Technorati, Slurp, Furl, Digg, etc.. 

I was reading a marketing ebook several months ago which focused on Web 2.0 when I decided to look into Social Bookmarking and why anyone would want to own such a site.  Web 2.0 works well in the Search Engines, so I thought to myself:  Wouldn’t it be feasible to create profitability from a Social Bookmarking site?? 

The answer is definitely YES!  After now creating 15 sites I average around $10 a day (give or take) in Adsense revenue from 10 of the sites.  The last 5 are still being slowly worked in to Google and are randomly making anywhere from a few cents to $3 per day in Adsense revenue.  You can easily do the math here:  $10 x 10 websites/ day = $100 per day ($3000/ month).

So how did I get to this point?  Rather easily actually.  I first downloaded the Scuttle script for free from the SourceForge website here.  Then after I struggled to get my first site complete, I started searching for a compliment, mod, plugin, or some type of add-on for the Scuttle script which would make it easier to manage and setup.  That is when I came across the Scuttle Plus administrative backend for Scuttle. What Scuttle Plus provided was not only the ability to manage a Scuttle installation, but the ability to manage multple installations, manage the number of bookmarks left by members per day, delete members or ban them by name or IP, but most importantly, it has advanced features which allows you to add Google Adsense ads to your Scuttle sites quickly and easily. This addition amplified my site making speed and allowed me to focus on what my big picture was: Making Money with Social Bookmarking.

 I soon had multiple sites built.  I decided to start with 5 sites and I would go from there based on how successful my endeavor was.  After giving my sites some dumb but flashy names (This will be kept secret for my benefit) I started working on getting my sites indexed in Google.  It was easy.  All I did was add my sites to both my RSS Bookmarker and Boomarking Demon installations and then slowly began bookmarking my own websites into the 5 new Scuttle Social Bookmarking sites I had built.  The GoogleBot started gobbling up my Scuttle sites and in just a few days I was indexed.

Update:  One thing I did not comment on enough was the fact that you will receive a lot of websit e traffic from these sites.  It is very easy to channel traffic from these sites to affiliate landing pages or to any website you wish by featuring your own links on the sites.  This is the base for a great addition to the profitability of these sites.
