As an avid auto blogger and affiliate marketer, I am very picky about the tools and plugins I use when I create my blogs, content, and then monetize the sites.  When I was asked recently to review the Wordpress Plugin WPZONBuilder, my expectations were very low as I have seen the home page of the WPZONBuilder site and I fully expected the plugin to JUST be able to auto post Amazon.com products to a blog.

For some of you, you might think that this is an unreasonable expectation.  You might think that is enough and for some people it might be.  I am very picky about how content is presented on my sites, especially sites that use auto generated content.  The problem with these types of sites is that content needs to be mixed and changed from it’s original form in order to be productive. With Google only getting smarter, I need more from a plugin other than straight duplicate content.  Especially content that comes from Amazon.com.  Amazon’s content is the most over used and abused content on the web and the need to create something original is important.

I should have known better considering this plugin is from the same person who also created WPReviewEngine, but out of the box, WPZONBuilder looks like it has nothing special.  It will gather Amazon.com products via the Amazon Web Services API and quickly populate your site with products.  It will also allow you to post the Reviews from Amazon.com as comments (with some nice options for manipluating the Reviews that are posted).  After testing just this basic set of posting tools I was not very impressed, but then I looked a little deeper.  One of the components that I find to be essential as I already stated, is a template system that will allow you to change how the content is displayed on your site.  WPZONBuilder has this.  It is not as easy to use as I would like (easy to use for me, but may be harder for a beginner), but you can quickly change the templates and load them into your plugin folder after making new template files based off the default.

The templating system is not the only way to change content.  In the language settings, you can manipulate how content will appear if the standard content (like product details) does not exist in the Amazon listing.  You can easily change what you want your post to say when this happens.  Then, in the Integration area, you can easily add content to automatically appear either right before or immediately after your Amazon product listing.  The ability to add Wordpress shortcodes and WPZONBuider template tags to these content areas are great as you can quickly add in eBay auction listings via phpBay or more Amazon lstings via phpZON with their shortcode template tags.

All of this in itself appealed to me and showed me that this Plugin is a first rate tol for monetizing your Wordpress blogs, but it also has a few more essential features that will make it appeal to almost everyone who wants to add Amazon products to their blogs as posts, but even more so to those who want to add products to pre-exisitng content or other posts they are creating. WPZONBuilder has it’s own Wordpress shortcodes and this makes it easy to add Amazon products to any other blog templating system that accepts them, but there is also an easy to use inline product addition tool that is added to your Post Editor page that allows you to either add in an Amazon.com ASIN or to Search for Amazon products and create a list of products in your post based on this search with the click of a button. 

WPZONBuilder also comes with a host of Widgets you can add into any widget area on your blog, adding in valubale content and even YouTube Video Reviews of products you are listing.  There is a Click Tracking feature as well that allows you to see how many clicks your products are generating and from what posts.

The bottom line is that on the surface this Wordpress Plugin for Amazon affiliate product promotions might look very basic, but after a deeper look you will find that it has a great set of advanced features that make it one of the best Amazon.com product promotion Wordpress Plugins on the market.

There are a few Review Plugins for Wordpress out there and after a lot of debate I decided to try something other than what I was already using.  MyReviewPlugin was the second I tested and I will be writing another Review on the first Review Plugin I tried later.  The bottom line is:  MyReviewPlugin is the best Review Plugin I have ever used for Wordpress.

There are several reasons why, but it lies mainly in the large amount of features that are available with the Plugin.  You can quickly and easily setup Rated Reviews and Comments on ANY Wordpress theme.  You can create a Business Directory or Affiliate Review site quickly and manipulate the content any way that you want.  You are able to add the rating categories and criteria you want for each Post and then choose whether your ratings or your visitors ratings make each post or product rank in your site.  Then you can embed Comparison Tables based on whatever criteria you want to show your site’s Top Products or Top Rated Listings.  It is all up to you.

Some of the Best features are things like Import Man which allows you to import CSV Files and Affiliate Datafeeds to your site with thousands of products or listings in just minutes and then Cloak your Affiliate Links instantly.  It will also Import Listings from Yellowpages.com from any specific category or search from that site based on the URL you choose.  You can then use the Bulk Modification settings to add Review ratings to every product or listing that you Imported into the site.  Then the Comment Man settings allow you to add Comments and Reviews to Products you have already added to your site to make your site look active and to provide specific ratings for your products as well.  You can do it en mass or by Post.  It is up to you.

Overall, after using this Plugin, I have to say that there is not a better option for creating any type of Review site with Wordpress.  Whether you want to create an Affiliate Product Review Site or Just a Business Directory, this is the one and only product I would use.

There are alot of Affiliate Review sites built with Wordpress, but there are not a lot of Wordpress Review Plugins built specifically for Wordpress which actually work well.  Well, that is no longer true.  WPReviewEngine is a new, but highly effective Wordpress Affiliate Review Site Plugin.

What sets WPReviewEngine apart from the competition?

The feature list is simple, but it is more about the execution than anything.  Sometimes pictures show you better than anything.  Here is what you can do with WPReviewEngine:

Out of the box (so to speak), WPReviewEngine breaks down into 3 Wordpress Plugins.  A CSV Plugin for Mass Importing of reviews, an Affiliate Link Cloaker, and Review Engine (the heart and Soul of the Program).  The first 2 I didn’t really bother with as I already have a good link cloaker and tracker, but the Review Engine is worth it’s weight in Gold.

You can easily add Reviews and choose to either Rate the Posts/ Products/ Services yourself, or you can choose to let the visitors to your site Rate the items and leave their Comments.  If you rate the posts, the Rating will always stay the same.  You can choose to show the Rating Table which shows the current order of the Rated items from #1 to whatever.  If you let your visitors ratings decide the order, the items can and will change their order in the Ratings Table based on the results.  I like this as it begs for return visits. (You do not have to show the Ratings Table if you do not want to.)

If you already have a site filled with Reviews, you can setup your Rating Criteria (you can set an unlimited number of Rating Criteria) and Mass Apply it to every Post.  You then only have to input your “Editor” Ratings if you are using your Ratings, or you can let it sit and wait for visitor input.

Most of your options are built right into the Add New Post area of Wordpress which makes this very convenient and easy to use.  I created a cPanel Hosting Review site in about 15 minutes:  The cPanel Host (still adding reviews).

I initially had some issues with the activation.php file which comes with the program, but within 2 hours, Customer Support had me taken care of.  I was pleasantly surprised.

Overall, this is one of the most feature rich Wordpress Review Plugins I have had the chance to use.  I like the fact that they provide excellent themes with the Plugin, but you don’t have to use them.  I can’t think of an easier way to make Wordpress Affiliate Review sites fast.

Just before the holidays I received an email marketing Frank Kern’s InfoMillionaire product to me.  I went to the site, saw a pretty good video presentation on how I could get InfoMillionaire for free if I tried a subscription to the InfoMillionaire Monthly Newsletter magazine. 

Now, this is the newly popular way to pull in big money from the so called “Gurus” of Internet Marketing.  They will give you their old product (one that sold for hundreds of dollars) so they can get you to buy a new product. This being the newsletter.  Well the newsletter costs a whopping $43.95 per month.  Is there a newsletter anywhere worth that much??  I don’t think so, but I digress.  Anyway, you get the free product and then when you forget to cancel your subscription, you get charged $43.95 and then find out it is almost impossible to cancel your subscription without calling your credit card company to stop it.

Now lets talk about the product itself.  InfoMillionaire comes in a very nicely done black book which looks big, so you get excited when you see it.  Then you open it to find large lettering in a font my Grandmother could read without her glasses.  Well, I read this thing from front to back.  Twice.  I did this in less than 1 hour. 

If you are a complete Newbie and do not know anything about the internet, you might think this is a great product.  That is until you actually try to do the things Frank tells you to do in the “Manual”.  The book outlines very briefly and without any detail at all how to find profitable niches.  You do this by finding products that have a lot of searches evidently.  You then go to Clickbank and find the product which gets a lot of searches.  You then learn how to research a Clickbank product, but I guess this can be done in a few seconds by picking the first products you find that match your new profitable niche and has a high Clickbank gravity.  Then the “manual” goes into about 30 pages of showing you how to create an Aweber account, find a domain name with Godaddy, and get web hosting. 

Each process comes included with a Frank Kern Affiliate Link.  The domains he provides are real enough, but he uses his own software to create redirect pages for so instead of joining Clickbank at Clickbank.com, he suggests joining at Clickbank3000.com.  Each site he suggests as a resource, including his recommendation for using Dreamweaver as your website building software, comes with a domain redirected affiliate link.  By this time I am reading this book saying to myself, if I wanted to learn how to setup a domain, website, and autoresponder; I could do it for a lot less than he charged for this product.

But it doesn’t end there.  He continues on by introducing his one product offering worth anything, which is his Landing Page Generator, which also comes in a new improved version on the Monthly CD-ROM which came with the package.  This Landing Page, which he never goes into the importance of how to construct, is the center piece now of your new Adwords campaign.  Another affiliate redirect later, you are now doing keyword research with Wordtracker.  Then, at the end of the book, he briefly goes into how to produce your own information product.

The problem.  Everything is so general.  There is no substance at all.  You get ten times more detail and screen shots on how to make Frank Kern more money by using the programs and services he is suggesting to you than anything concerning making money with Information products. 

I found InfoMillionaire to be nothing more than a product focused on taking money from beginners who don’t know any better.  A complete scam.  If you want a product which uses the exact same concept and WILL make you money because it teaches you in detail with video, manuals, and spreadsheets how to make money using Clickbank with Landing Pages and Google Adwords; then the only product you should buy is Commission Blueprint.

InfoMillionaire sucks!

When StomperNet was offering everyone in the world their Stomping the Search Engines 2.0 DVD for Free, they offered a ton of Free Bonuses with it from some of the Internet’s Top Marketers.  One of those Free Bonuses was a Free 60 Day Membership to Traffic Kahuna.  I was really excited about this especially since Traffic Kahuna is ussually closed to new members and it is very expensive.  Depending on when you visit the site, it has run at around $147 per month for the membership. So I have been saying to myself, this has got to really be something special.  I want to try something which can generate masive traffic to some of my sites and I presumed that something with a $147 per month price tag would be that thing.

Wrong.

After going through the program after several days I found myself very disappointed.  The main enticement, a 650 Blog network in which I believed I could submit posts to was actually a little different than advertised.  You see, you can only submit each article to 10 of the 650 each time you post.  Plus, the article spinner provided as part of the program, has you doing most of the spinning.  I have used auto spinners that were free that had more features than this thing.

Then I came to what Traffic Kahuna calls it Web 2.0 Mayhem program.  You know what this Traffic Mayhem is?  It is a list of the most common Web 2.0 sites (EzineArticles, Squidoo, Weebly, Hubpages, etc.) with links to the sites, a directive to sign up and then the kicker for the program is that you use the article spinner to create articles and then submit each one to each Web 2.0 site on the list (about 20 sites total).  I do this already.  Using Web 2.0 sites like this is almost common knowledge anymore.  Oh OK, so they also tell you to Ping all the sites using Ping.in.  Are you kidding me? 

Traffic Kahuna also has a CO-OP.  Basically telling you to get into a Free Link Exchange Network.  The last time I checked, there were about 5 million of those already on the web, for FREE.  They also encourage you to start a Blog on their PR5 Blog Network.  All you are really doing, is helping them push their Blog to a PR6 and doing nothing for your own.  I have ot give them credit though, it is a great scam since they are making a ton of money from it. 

The main problem is there is not any automation or anything to make building traffic for your website easier by using Traffic Kahuna.  You can get more, and I mean a lot more, from submiting articles to hundreds of Article Directories and Blogs through the Unique Article Wizard (does 100 times more traffic building than the Blog Feeder at Traffic Kahuna) and using SENuke (which will auto create 125 Social Bookmarking and Web 2.0 sites and submit to them in just a few minutes, not to mention after using a great article spinner).  Sound like Web 2.0 Mayhem?

Bottom line.  Don’t waste your money. I’m glad I didn’t waste mine.
