Delavo 2.0: Original Post Deleted

Jan 12, 2010
I had written a Review/ opinion article on how the new business model for Delavo, Delavo 2.0 from the team of John Delavera and Mark Joyner here, but I had to delete it after receiving a letter from John Delavera’s lawyers threatening to sue me if I didn’t delete the article. To say that I touched a nerve on this very small and marginally significant website is an understatement. What it did for me is solidify my opinion of the business practices of the “Internet Company” and while I do not believe they could have or would have really taken legal action against me (because of the whole free speech/ editorial thing), I do believe that they do not like when anything negative is said about their business as a whole. That is why I stand firm on why I do not recommend, based on my personal opinion, purchasing anything from the Internet Company or any of the “Turbo” businesses to include the Turbo Membership.
It is my opinion (free speech opinion here) that most of the products there are overpriced and not worth buying when compared to other available alternatives. For example, yesterday a new deal was put out for Members to purchase a few of the Internet Company’s old products. These products are very old and very outdated. Anyone in the Private Label Rights and Master Resale Rights market knows that these products are not worth much due to how outdated they are when compared to products available on the current market; especially when there are better alternatives available for $197 per month (on the high end) or less for comparable products with PLR and MRR. Here is the deal I am talking about: Turbo Steal Deal. You will see that the “deal” is for $997.
This kind of price tag is very common and I could show you tons of special “deals” with similar price tags that are put out to Turbo and Delavo members on a regular basis (in my opinion). These deals, in my opinion, are not to the level of quality that I Would normally recommend to the visitors of this Blog. SureFireWealth is one great example of a membership service which provides software and PLR items like these for a standard monthly membership, well below the cost of these products. Mike Filsaime has been selling his huge packages of products and software for years with PLR and MRR for a fraction of the prices that you will see here. That is why I do not recommend buying anything from this company or getting caught up in the “Marketing” hype associated with the “New” business models being proposed with Delavo 2.
Here is the Forum Announcement about Delavo 2 I referred to in my previous post before I was forced to delete it: Major Official Announcement
And then there is this New Delavo 2 Update which officially tells all of the people who have busines models that rely on hosted accounts with Delavo, it’s over: Delavo 2 Update
This article is strictly my opinion and in no way am I associated with any organization or entity in direct competition, nor am I in direct competition with the Internet Company or any of their Businesses.

Turbo Membership Review: Did Delavo Make it Worth $147?
Tuesday
Jun 2, 2009
John Delavera released the much anticipated new version of JVManager/ Fantasos last week with an even newer name: Delavo. No ego there at all. He culminated this event with an even bigger change to his very popular Turbo Membership. A PLR and Resale Rights membership which entices new internet marketers to join forces with the Turbo Community to start onthe path to success Turbo style.
I bought into the hype and after doing a lot of research on Fantasos and the Turbo Membership for months, I decided that this was the right time to try the Turbo Membership out and see if it really was worth the price.
The price for me before it changed this week was $97 per month. You now have to pay $147 per month for this membership. That’s $1764 per year in case you were wondering.
Is it worth it? I’ll get to that in a minute because there are a few points to go over first.
The Turbo Membership sales page at: http://www.turbomembership.com is very good. It will make you want to pay for the membership right away. It offers so much it is almost too good to be true. In fact, I believe it is. Most of what you find inside when you join this membership is a confused array of items which are hard to navigate through. part of the reason is that Delavo/ Fantasos, while being a great software product, is not seamless in it’s design. The memberships you receive as part of the Turbo Membership must all be accessed through the Use-Sell.com website. You have to access each site and the email you receive as a new member points you towards a site which shows you a 1-10 type list of items to go through with the membership, but it doesn’t tell you much else. Then, there is the Blue Book.
The Blue Book is hyped to be the ultimate in Internet Marketing knowledge and it will suposedly point you towards riches you have only dreamed of. Wrong. The Blue Book starts off by telling you that the best way to start is to sell more Turbo Memberships. Yes everyone, put more money in John’s pocket before you do anything. The second step in the Blue Book is to start promoting the Turbo line of products in which you receive 95% Commissions. Then, once you have built up some cash, you can use the PLR products in the membership to sell or to create your own products to sell.
Does this sound like anything new? Not to me. Everyone is pushing this magical way to make money on the web. It is true, the formula works. But in this case, with the hype, I was expecting a whole lot more. Believe me, there isn’t.
To be honest, I have been through quite a few membership sites and I was very disappointed by the low quality of the product offerings here. Let’s walk through a few.
The PLR Product and Software you get each month are OK. Not bad products, but not great. They are your standard PLR stuff. The 4PLRpermonth items are decent and I would pay the $27 for it. Not bad at all. StealtheseArticles and the others like Software4Profit and Software Gold Club are just plain junk. In order to get anything out of the Software Gold Club, you actually need to pay for an upgrade that still isn’t worth it. Most of the software is old and very outdated stuff that isn’t worth anything to anyone.
The 400 products that are in the Turbo Profit Vault are there, but you won’t see them. You see, this part of the membership is built on a points system. You get 1000 points for a Bronze Membership and 3000 points for a Gold each month. You get the Bronze as a Turbo Member. What does this mean? With most products in the vault you will require anywhere from 800-1500 points to get a single product. In other words, you have to stay a Turbo Member for a long time to get the products you want. At $147 a pop, it just doesn’t seem worth it.
I could run down a list of sites which offer way more in value than this one. Yes, Delavo is a high quality platform. There is no doubt. Is it worth $147 for the life of your business? Not even close.
My recommendation is this: Get the Free Download of Delavo while you can and pay for one or two of the Plugins you will need. Yes, you will pay $97 per Plugin or more, but in the long run, it’s more economical to go that route. Go to the Warrior Forum and get a Warrior Special Offer for a solid PLR Membership or go to PLR Wholesaler and get all of John Delavera’s products through that site for a one time fee. He does a great job of keeping the new stuff flowing and you pay a fraction of the price. The site owner is a Turbo Member. Let him pay so you don’t have to. It is the best route to take. A site like Niche Empire is also a great choice for fresh PLR at a great price.
If you want to skip the Delavo hassles and get a similar set of features, you could do worse than Rapid Action Profits Member Plus. I recommend it.
The thing that surprised me was that the Turbo Membership included Hosting and an autoresponder account at TurboReaponders.com (an Aweber branded site). As of June 1, 2009, these items are no longer included. So where did the value go? Considering you could get the membership without them previously for a lower price, i can’t see what was added to increase the value of the memberhsip to $147. The new Turbo Dashboard is complete junk. You can go through the 1 sentence to 1 paragraph 32 point system in 15 minutes. I don’t know why they wasted their time with it. Nice graphics and that is about it.
The Turbo Membership is very complicated to navigate. Especially for beginners. Delavo itself is a project itself if you are a beginner. I’ve been around awhile and I am still trying to figure it out completely. There are a lot of other products which have more value and information.
The Turbo Membership is not a great place to start.
UPDATE: (June 8, 2009): As I continue to monitor the evolution of the Delavo launch, there have been a few workshops which would allow up to 15 people to attend and learn more about Delavo. The Plugin package which will take your Delavo installation and turn it into Fantasos 1.18 is still available for $997 (see here) and now, the first of what appears to be some very expensive, yet minor, addons for your Delavo installation.
After a visitor clicks on a Buy Now button on your website, they will be taken through the Delavo ordering process. This is a 3 Step process in which the buyer selects their product, pays, and then receives the product. Today, John Delavera has released Templates for this process (see here). At $27 for each template, this is beyond pricey, but don’t worry, you can get all 10 Order Page Templates for the one time offer “Special Price” of $197. If this is the “Special Price” I would hate to see the full price. These Order Templates should be part of the base Delavo installation, but should be an indicator of the Marketing scheme for Delavo which will include a lot of big ticket items with little punch. Watch the YouTube video attached to each Template and you will see there is really nothing special about them, but I am sure there are tons of people lining up to buy once again. (*Be advised, this is the price being offered to the Free Delavo mailing list, I am sure current Turbo Members are being offered a much lower price.)
If this is how much a basic Order Template is going to cost, imagine what you will end up paying by the time you are done customizing your Delavo install.
Exit Fantasos JV Manager 2, Enter Delavo: FREE May17, 2009
Monday
May 11, 2009
If you read this Blog on a regular basis, then you know I am not one for pushing a lot of Marketing hype. On May 17, 2009 however, everyone should be hyped. If you have ever wanted to centralize your entire online marketing business with a product delivery/ membership/ complete affiliate solution, then on May 17, 2009 you should be ready because John Delavaro is releasing his next generation Internet Marketing platform that day and giving it away for FREE.
Let me explain.
John Delavaro is one of Internet Marketing’s Big Guns. He has dominiated with his Turbo Membership empire for the last couple of years and has done it with the single best Internet Marketing Membership and Product delivery suite on the market. It was originally called JV Manager, progressed to his monster platform called Fantasos (or JV Manager II). Now he is releasing Delavo.
If you have read my article on what I consider to be the 3 Top Membership site software products on the web, then you will know that the only reason I said that Fantasos was not my number #1 pick was because of it’s cost and because it was a “hosted” solution. This kept it out of reach for a lot of new internet marketers. Plus, with a hosted solution, you didn’t have any independence from John’s business. You had to stay with him. I didn’t like putting all my eggs in someone else’s basket.
That has all changed.
John has listened to the market and is now releasing what is expected to be the next generation in Internet Marketing software. It will allow you to centralize your business and affiliate programs, regardless of what server your websites are on. It will give you every option imaginable from shopping carts, to single sales page sites, to complex memberships, to a complete payment and affiliate solution for your business which will allow you to run your business from one single software script. John is touting this as the only solution anyone will need. based on what Fantasos could do, I believe him.
So how much is it going to cost? Well, here’s the deal. For one week and one week only, John is giving this new Internet Marketing Platform away for Free. Yes Free. Absolutely Free. What’s the catch?
The only catch is that you have to sign up in advance here: Delavarian Marketing
When you get to the site, it will have a video to watch. I watched two of the videos and I can tell you that they made almost no sense to me whatsoever. The important thing is to click on the sign up link, submit your information, and then confirm by clicking on the link in the email you receive. After you confirm, you will receive an email outlining that you are now eligible to receive 1 Free License of Delavo.
Here is what I received in my email:
By just being a subscriber to this list you are entitled
to 1 free license of DELAVOtm – John’s new turbo platform,
based on Fantasos(R) core machine. You will receive the instructions on how to get this bonus
through May 17 to May 24.
After this event, John’s website says that Delavo will only then be offered through his Turbo Membership site. Even if you are just a tad bit curious, you should sign up. As I said before, I am not one for a lot of hype, but this is beyond hype. This is a must do for any Internet Marketer.
If you are wondering why all the text in this post is crossed out, I have several striking reasons that will definitely enlighten you.
First: After receving the email that was for my free copy of Delavo. (It didn’t say that it was for Delavo. It was an email from the Use-Sell.com website that is the hub for all of John Delavaro’s business. The email just had a link to the Updates page for JVManager 2.) Well, the email link didn’t work. I contacted Customer Support and was told my link would work eventually. Once the link did work, I read through a very confusing system that finally led me to my download of Delavo. Now, be advised that before you can register your license for Delavo, you have to pick a top level domain and you cannot switch your installation of Delavo from this Domain unless you pay a $47 domain change fee. Nice huh?
Now, if that wasn’t enough, the user forum for Delavo was just shut down yesterday (May 31,2009). It seems that Free and limited information given to Free users was too much for John Delavaro and his associates. They didn’t like that people were using the Forum to share information about Delavo. I know; it shocked me too. People sharing information in a forum dedicated to a product. Nonetheless, John Delavaro shut down the forum, so now Free users will have to rely on another forum (like the WarriorForum) to help each other.
Here is the real kicker. After getting Delavo and installing it, I found that it is indeed the base installation. If you want to use it for your business, it is ready to go. If you want any special functionality; you are gonna have to pay for it. I just received an email telling me how I can pay a nifty $997 to revert my Delavo install back to the last (and what appears to be final) version of Fantasos (JV Manager 2). Fantasos 1.18.
If you were looking for a true Freebie here, well then I guess we were all snookered. I believed it too. I was wrong. All the Free Release of Delavo was for was to get you to install it, see the huge potential, and then get you to pay the large fees which the Plugins will cost you to add increased functionality. That being said. Delavo is a high quality product. But if you want to add special features to your products like One Time Offers and other neat Marketing tools, you will have to pay for the Plugins. If you are happy with Delavo the way it is, which is a fine product, then you will not have any problems. Except maybe support.
I also tried the Turbo Membership and I have to say that I was extremely unhappy with it. I will be writing a review here about it in a day or so, but the bottom line is this: They took away some of the features like hosting and the Autoresponder account and increased the price from $97 to $147. I don’t see where this membership is even close to being worth $147. Most of the products you get to resell are just plain junk or rehashed PLR products. My opinion. One man’s junk is another man’s treasure. I’ll let you be the judge.
You can Still Sign up here if you think it’s worth it: Delavarian Marketing
